- ¾ cup Heavy cream cold, for whipping
- 3 Egg yolks for richness
- ½ cup Granulated sugar
- Coffee Layer
- 1½ cups Espresso or strong brewed coffee cooled
- 2 tbsp Coffee liqueur Kahlúa, Marsala, or Baileys (optional, for depth)

Prepare the Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
Dip and Layer
Quickly dip ladyfingers into cooled coffee, ensuring they don’t become soggy.
Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in an 8x8 baking dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
Repeat and Chill
Add another layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers.
Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours (overnight for best results).
Dust and Serve
Before serving, sift cocoa powder evenly over the top.
Garnish with dark chocolate shavings (optional).
Slice and serve chilled.
💡 For an egg-free version, skip the yolks and add more whipped cream.
💡 To make it vegan, use coconut cream and plant-based mascarpone.
💡 For extra flavor, mix in a splash of vanilla extract or orange zest.
💡 Best enjoyed within 2-3 days when stored in the fridge.
